About 70 volunteers have been supporting Wakayama YMCA and its overseas students.They willingly help you try and enjoy various seasonal Japanese cultural events.
Learning opportunities are not always within classrooms. Various kinds of activities supported by such 70 volunteers are another good opportunities for you to learn practical Japanese language. You are able to interact with local people and experience Japanese cultures through them.
Japanese Conversation Tutors
One of our after-school learning opportunities is a seminar operated by our Japanese conversation tutors.
This one hour lesson is held once a week. You can practice speaking Japanese and learn Japanese customs and typical Japanese ways of thinking.
Cultural Exchange Events
Through these events, you are able to experience and learn Japanese traditional cultures and interact with local Japanese people.
Home Visit
Taking advantage of your weekends and/or long vacation here, you can visit Japanese families.
Why don’t you try Japanese food and experience their life style with your host family.
This must be fun and interesting as well as a good opportunity to learn practical Japanese conversation.
