What is Wakayama YMCA Like?
Wakayama YMCA was established as an innovatively comprehensive educational institute and started its educational activities mainly in Wakayama City back in 1977. Its ultimate goal is to help all our members highly elevate their own morality and personality, achieve their own dreams and interact with various people in their local communities for promoting the friendship exchange. For that purpose, we have been doing these five basic activities in Wakayama City: 1)Fostering Juveniles, 2)Volunteering Activities, 3)Christianity-Oriented Activities, 4)International Exchanges and 5)Serving for Local Communities. Carrying out these activities, we have been working on to realize affluent & mutually beneficial society and foster excellent trainers for our future.
Wakayama YMCA has totally six Departments including Japanese Language Course as follows：
- Nursing Care & Welfare Course－Fostering nationally qualified heath care workers
- YMCA High School Wakayama Education Center－Correspondence High School
- Wellness Department－Promoting Healthcare and Sports Activities for Juveniles
- Seed Club－After-school day care
- Foreign Language Department－Teaching Chinese, English, Korean and other Foreign
- Japanese Language Course
Our Japanese Language Course was established in April, 2002. This Course offers splendid opportunities to learn Japanese language to those who would like to learn the language and also to interact with lots of local residents in Wakayama City to deepen mutual understandings on each other’s different cultures. Thus, we work on to foster human resources with international perspectives.

Take a bus at Limousine Bus Stop at Kansai International Airport.The bus directly takes you to JR Wakayama Station in 40 minutes. Get off the Station.Then, walk two minutes to Wakayama YMCA.
When you fly to Kansai International Airport, our staff members will pick you up at the airport.
